Street Dance New Zealand is a organisation that seeks to mentor and develop youth through the medium of street dance. SDNZ is the current entity responsible for the National Hip Hop Dance Championships as a qualifier to enter the World Hip Hop Champs in the US. SDNZ has held these rights and has been running this competition since 2007. SDNZ also runs a 10 week dance mentoring program to develop future dancers both on the stage and beyond. They also run a intensive weekend camp early in the year to provide dancers with exposure to top NZ coreographers. The fruits of these programs has contributed to New Zealand dominating street dance on the global stage.
